Nowt But Drippin’

Whenever I asked Grandma ‘Is there anything to eat?’

She would always reply ‘there’s nowt but drippin’ lass.’

Under her stern eye I would eat every horrible bite.

Based on Julie's experiences of growing up in Sheffield, Nowt but Drippin’ is an evocative tale of Yorkshire life in the sixties.   It is a lovely peek into the lives of three generations of the Hayworth family as they cope with the swirl of industrial and social change and the tragedy that has befallen them.

Spiced with humour Jennifer, Bert and Ma take us to their worlds of factory scams, Catholic schoolgirl antics and the quirky domestic rituals of blue rinses and twin tubs.

This is a wonderful celebration of Yorkshire and its people.
