Kate is one of the team of authors behind the New York Times bestselling Warriors series, who write under the pseudonym Erin Hunter. She is also the writer behind the Pippa Morgan and Signs of Love series for younger readers, as well as author of the young adult series Bloodline. She has been living and working in Sheffield since 2004.

In 2003, Kate wrote the first book in a new series commissioned by HarperCollinsUS. The series, Warriors by Erin Hunter, quickly found its way into the hearts of readers, climbing higher up bestseller lists with each new instalment until Warriors became a regular New York Times Bestseller.
