Sarah Dalton/Denzil

Sarah has been writing and publishing for the last three years, and has published a total of eight novels (despite loads of procrastinating) plus a number of novellas and short stories. Sarah writes sci-fi, fantasy, and horror books for teens because she says "I can never stick to one genre. "

She lives in Sheffield with her partner, and loves to walk around Bole Hill in the sunshine. She says: "I can’t exactly moan about the ridiculous hills because I’m from Matlock, but I still manage to complain quite a lot."

The Blemished series was, up until the phenomenal success of Silent Child, Sarah's best seller, and has been translated into Italian, Spanish, and is soon to be translated into Turkish. It is a YA dystopian novel with a feminist twist. If anyone has wanted to read a mash up of The Handmaid’s Tale and The Hunger Games then they might enjoy this series.

Sarah also loves writing spooky ghost stories, and has written the four book Mary Hades series about a seventeen year old girl who can see ghosts. This series started from the novella My Daylight Monsters, which was accepted into the Kindle Singles programme on Amazon and has also been translated into Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and will soon be translated into French.

The White Hart  series is an epic fantasy story about a magical girl who has a pet stag, and who is forced on a journey to free the world from an oppressive king. This book is ideal for younger teens who love magical high-fantasy tales.
